Village Musical Theatre presents Alice in Wonderland on Saturday, April 19, 1 p.m., at The Scottish Rite in Hamilton.
Each year children present a full-scale musical and bring familiar stories to life.
"This year we have welcomed younger children into our company and it's been a delight working with a younger cast," said program director Erin Bree Pierce.
The children are diligently working on lines and characterization and are now ready to put the final touches on their production.
Kristen Viersen, a Grade 7 student at C.H. Bray in Ancaster, stars as Alice and is having a wonderful time bringing the character to life. Other various roles allow the children to travel into a fairyland world where they may be a Cheshire cat, or a caterpillar, lobster or even the wicked Queen of Hearts.
Directing the show is Emily Wales.
Tickets are $12 each, general admission. Call 905-541-1181.
