Highland Secondary School students Aileen Black (left), Des Magee, Lee Hughes and Lauren Bentham were the winners of the Toskan Casale Foundation's Youth and Philanthropy Initiative. The program is designed to promote a sense of responsibility, respect and a commitment to building compassionate communities. Two classes at Highland and four groups (two from each class) competed in the final competition to see who would win the $5,000. The students pictured profiled the work of Babyshowers, which collects new and gently used baby and preschool items to give to established community agencies in the Hamilton area.
