Touching lives

Brian Peirce makes his milestone 40th blood donation as daughter Mackenzie looks on. Mr. Peirce began donating regularly after his mother died following surgery that required several blood transfusions. Since then, he's not only given his own O-positive blood but encouraged friends and family to give as well. Mr. Peirce said going with a friend the first couple of times helps ease any fears. For his most recent donation, Mr. Peirce brought 15 people along to give blood. Canadian Blood Services estimates Mr. Peirce's donations have touched up to 120 lives.
