
The Dundas Seahawks swimmers achieved personal bests and received a number of medals at the Special Olympics provincial meet. The Seahawks sent 10 swimmers representing Region 5 who competed to represent Ontario at the Special Olympics National Games in 2010 in London. Snagging silver
The Hamilton Aquatic Water Polo Bantam Under 13 girls team snagged silver at the Ontario provincial championships. The girls were led by Ainsle Colterjohn's offensive performance as tournament leading scorer, 20 goals, Aleah Whalen's defensive play and Harmony's Strong's performance in goal. All three were named to the tournament all-star team with Strong also named Most Valuable Goalie.

The News gets around - Santa Cruz
Rick Smith with his favourite community newspaper in Santa Cruz. Mr. Smith has been sailing around the world on a 68-foot yacht sponsored by the City of Halifax. His boat is racing against 10 other internationally sponsored boats. The adventure began Sept. 16, 2007, in Liverpool, England. Rick is is expected to be home with his wife Landra and children Nathan, Robyn and David by July 21, 2008.
