Stonegate of Ancaster, an upscale, 62-unit condominium project at 125-139 Wilson St. W. held its official groundbreaking on April 30. Developer Helmuth Strobel said about half of the units are already sold. Remaining units range from 700 to 1750 square feet and feature curved balconies, nine-foot ceilings and other amenities. Occupancy is slated for summer, 2009. Co-owner David Mancini, left, Ancaster Councillor Lloyd Ferguson and Helmuth Strobel mark the occasion. Honoured guests, including future Stonegate residents, gathered for the groundbreaking. To commemorate the event, Mr. Strobel will contribute $5,000 to Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum, and an additional $5,000 to Ancaster Heritage Days.
