Relay For Life: On Friday, June 19 at the new Ancaster Fairgrounds, residents participated in an unforgettable night — the second Ancaster Dundas Relay for Life, Canada’s major cancer fundraiser. Fifty teams of 10, many in costumes, pitched tents in Tent City and walked around the track all night, raising $125,000. Click here.
Ancaster Heritage Days: The 31st annual Ancaster Heritage Days attracted thousands of guest to Ancaster during the week of June 12. Events included the always fabulous parade, Kid World, the ever-popular Fieldcote Soiree, the 255-team Heritage Days Soccer Tournament, awe-dropping fireworks and much more. View the slideshow here.
Ancaster Meadow School held its fourth annual Track and Field day on May 21. Events included long distance running, sprints, shot put and high jump. View the slideshow here.

New fairgrounds: The Ancaster Fair showed off its brand new Trinity Road Fairgrounds during an open house event May 8 and 9. Finishing touches will be completed over the next month. The 2009 Ancaster Fair will be held September 25-27. Click here to view a slideshow of the event.

Overtime Thriller: The Ancaster Royals lost an overtime thriller to the Sherwood Saints on February 12 in Junior Boys playoff basketball action. Despite the playoff loss, the Royals finish the season with a 19 - 3 record. Click here to view a slideshow of the event.
Warriors battle Royals: The Waterdown Warriors showed why they are the team to beat in HWIAC division 1 girls hockey with a convincing 6-0 win over Ancaster Dec. 14 at Morgan Firestone Arena. The game was a re-match of last year’s city championship. Click here to view a slideshow of the event.
