The Ancaster Horticultural Society holds its monthly meeting on June 16, at the Ancaster Old Town Hall. A coffee and tea refreshment social begins at 7:30 p. m. followed by the meeting at 8.
This month the society welcomes guest speaker Jim Lounsbery who will present Dwarf and Unusual Shrubs: Ideal Plants for Small Gardens. Mr. Lounsbery is owner and operator of Vineland Nurseries of Beamsville and has over 30 years experience in horticulture, specializing in dwarf and unusual plants such as Japanese maples, unusual evergreens, bamboos, rhododendrons and heathers. Mr. Lounsbery is also manager and instructor of horticultural landscape and design at Mohawk College.
