The Ancaster Horticultural Society hold its annual general meeting and pot luck dinner for 2009 on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 6 p. m. at the Ancaster Old Town Hall. Everyone is invited to be part of the official yearend celebration.
Traditionally, the society has held its AGM in January. This year, however, is the first year the event takes place in November. As usual the society supplies coffee, tea and musical entertainment while members are asked to bring a culinary dish that serves between six to eight people for the buffet table.
The pot-luck dish can be a hot or cold meat dish, side dish or dessert and with a serving utensil. Members are also asked to bring their own place setting and cutlery. The dinner-jazz musical entertainment will be provided by the Henry Strong Duo. The society encourages anyone interested in volunteering for the board of directors.
