Founded in June 1989 under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Dundas as a service to seniors living in Dundas and nearby areas, the Probus Club meets at 10 a. m. on the last Monday of each month, except December,, in the parlour, St. Paul’s United Church, 29 Park St., Dundas.

Probus clubs for retired professional and business persons are not service clubs. They are formed as a service to seniors in the community to stimulate thought, interest and participation in activities.

There are now over 200 Probus clubs in Canada and the worldwide Probus community has more than 300,000 members in more than 4,000 clubs.

There are three varieties of Probus clubs — for men, for women or for both combined. The Probus Club of Dundas is a men’s club, though it holds a number of club events with the members’ partners.
