Hamilton Police Service is looking for two suspects after responding to a late-night shooting at a Stoney Creek home.
On Feb. 8 at about 11 p.m., two masked gunmen forced their way into a Watercrest Drive residence. Shots were fired and a 42-year-old man was hit. A 40-year-old woman who was also inside the home was not injured. The male suspects then fled the scene.
The male victim was taken to hospital, where he remains. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Hamilton Police Service spokesperson sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings says detectives do not believe this was a random incident.
The first suspect is described as a black male, about six-feet tall with a medium build and wearing dark clothing. The second is said to be a white male, about the same height also wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Division 2 detectives at (905) 546-2907 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
