What's for breakfast? Join the Dashing Divas to find out

The Dashing Divas "women in motion" group is the brainchild of local resident Linda McFeeters who believes that self-improvement through movement and healthy eating are the root to becoming a stronger person, not just physically, but mentally as well.

By inspiring a group of friends into an exercise regimen and good eating habits, she began the Dashing Divas, a walking/wellness group for women of all sizes and ages who come together every Sunday to walk, jog or run.

To celebrate their first season, the group will hold its first annual Breakfast Scramble 5k and 10k walk/run event in support of Breakfast for Learning, a Chatelaine foundation charity that provides funds to local service agencies to run breakfast, lunch and snack programs throughout Canada.

With the support and sponsorship of a few local businesses, the event will be held at the Hamilton Beach Trail starting from the Lakeland Building on Father's Day, June 15 at 9 a.m. Registration is $10 per person and kids 10 and under are free - with all proceeds going to help student nutrition programs in Hamilton.

There will be a draw for a free gift basket from the first 100 people to sign up and registration will take place both onsite starting at 7 a.m. or e-mail Linda at info@dashingdivas.ca .
