Hamilton Eat Local and the Ancaster Old Mill have organized the first annual Sunday Supper event, Aug. 17 at Carluke Orchards, 2194 Shaver Rd. S.

Described as a delicious and ambitious partnership of area chefs, farmers and artists, the Sunday Supper features fine outdoor dining in the apple orchards.

More than 100 guests will gather, including local farmers, artists and one of the region's best chefs, Jeff Crump, executive chef at the Ancaster Old Mill.

Mr. Crump will prepare a meal inspired by locally grown, sustainable food.

The goal of Sunday Supper is to spark conversation and create awareness between farmers, artists and chefs.

The dinner celebrates the bounty of Hamilton's rich food harvest.

It also demonstrates the vital role farmers and artists play in the life of the city.
