The skies were clear and the excitement was high as Ancaster Lions Club presented the second Annual Golf Classic at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.

The event, supported by Dundas Lions Club, Y108, Dundas Legion and Sylvite Transportation Group, was a great day filled with 18 holes of golf.

The event raised $20,000 that will go directly to program and services the CNIB provides to clients in Hamilton and surrounding areas.

"The day turned out to be an amazing day for everyone," said Tanya Kresina, assistant of community development. "All money raised from this event will stay right here in the community."

A special thanks to the event planning committee of John Grant, May Nugent, Jim Monkelbaan, Norm Watson, Roy Graham, Jessica Graham, Tanya Kresina and Andre Bellemare, who did a tremendous community effort to put together the tournament. Next year tournament organizers plan to include sports celebrities and personalities.
