The Dundas Blues Junior C team wrapped up its 2007-08 season with a tough 6-4 loss to the second-seeded Glanbrook Rangers in Game 7.
Throughout the series, the Blues were unable to shut down the Rangers after leading by two goals during many games. Untimely penalties and a dry power play put the Blues constantly on their heels.
Assistant coach Steve Aglor said, "It was disappointing not making it to the league finals this year and getting another shot at the powerhouse Grimsby Peach Kings after being there for a number of years."
The Blues wish to thank captain Mitch Zavitz, Joel Musselwhite and David Hamm for their contribution to the organization as they end their Junior careers.
"Mitch, Joel and David's leadership on and off the ice will be greatly missed," said general manager Kelly Barber.
"All three are great kids and it has been an honour seeing them improve over the years and their influence on the younger players."
The organization also thanks its sponsors and fans.
The Blues' annual general meeting takes place Wednesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 280 King St. W.. in Dundas. Anyone interested in participating as part of the executive or as a volunteer for fundraising efforts and game night operations is invited.
