The McCoys started quickly with a power-play goal by captain Mike Kennedy, but Baltimore replied with their own power-play goal just minutes later.
Dundas then showed more of its offensive muscle by recapturing the lead with a man in the penalty box. Kennedy got his second of the night. The Dundas squad continued to dominate as Josh Shrum and Ryan Christie added markers to make it 4-1 at the end of the first.
The dominating performance continued into the second, with the McCoys out-playing and out-hitting their opponents. Baltimore could not buy a break as goalie Stephan Horn misplayed the puck and gave up a gift goal to Justin Davis. Christie also scored his second of the night. The McCoys continued their strong play through the second and it seemed everything was going their way. The visitors did, however, add a late power-play goal to pull within four.
Hard hitting plays by both teams started off the third, with Christie and Kennedy both looking to complete their hat tricks. Kennedy tallied his third to make the score 7-2 and Darrell Simich finished up the scoring just past the midway mark to make it 8-2. The ageless Mark Jooris had five assists and appears to be in mid-season form.
Former Hamilton Bulldog Mike Minard had a strong game in net.
With the win, the McCoys are riding a three-game streak and are undefeated on the season. The home squad will look for its fourth win against the Whitby Dunlops tonight at 7:45 p. m. at J. L. Grightmire Arena.
